Scott AnSgeulaiche, Traditional Storyteller

Scott will be telling stories, of battles and feuds, of Macleans of long ago. In the castle, from 11am to 4pm.

THURSDAY 5th JULY

Mendelssohn on Mull concert in the Banqueting Hall at 7.30pm

Mendelssohn on Mull is a charity bringing young and gifted musicians to play throughout the week of 2nd July to 8th July at various venues on the island.

WEDNESDAY 11th JULY

Guided Tour and Dinner in the castle.

Starting at 6.30pm, there will be a guided tour of the castle followed by a candle lit dinner in the Banqueting Hall at 7.30pm

Allestri String Quartet

WEDNESDAY 18th JULY

The Allestri String Quartet.

The members of the Quartet, led by Morag Swietlicki, are all based in the Highlands and have played with many of the British Symphony Orchestras. Playing in the Banqueting Hall, their music floats through the castle. From 11.30am.

THURSDAY 26th JULY

Orienteering Day

Navigate your way around the castle and grounds using your map to find as many orienteering markers as possible. Do this with your family and friends or by yourself. Suitable for all ages.

Frasers Dragoons, Historical Camp

SATURDAY 4th & SUNDAY 5th AUGUST

Frasers Dragoons and Historical Camp

See how the Macleans defended Duart Castle against the attack of the Covenanters in 1647 using musket, sword and Pike in this action packed re-enactment between 1pm and 4pm. Also, visit the besiegers' camp, open from 11am to 5pm, where you can meet the troops and see displays of musket ball making, the weapons used and meet the followers who will describe their life with the army.

Allestri String Quartet

WEDNESDAY 8th AUGUST

The Allestri String Quartet

The Quartet, led by Morag Swietlicki, will be filling the castle with wonderful music, some with a Scottish theme, in the Banqueting Hall at various times throughout the day, from 11.30am

MONDAY 20th AUGUST

Treasure Hunt

Hunt around the castle to solve the clues, find all sorts of treasure and finally collect a small reward. From 10.30am onwards.

MONDAY 10th SEPTEMBER

Mull Food Festival

We will be serving our home made quiches at lunch time, as usual, as part of the Mull Food Festival.
